Call for research ideas
The second call for access to the INCREASE infrastructure is open from 1 March to 15 June 2010 for activities starting in the first half of 2010. Applicants can apply until one month before the proposed start of the activity.
The INCREASE infrastructure
INCREASE provides access to 6 unique climate change experimental sites and one phytotron. These facilities carry out climate change experiments at the field scale and now offer themselves to researchers elsewhere for new scientific work. Hereby, INCREASE provides a unique possibility for researchers with great ideas to be tested but without the proper experiment, to conduct their work and measurements at a high quality research facility in a strong international network.
Research themes and selection procedure
All facilities generally welcome novel and good ideas for “non-destructive” research focusing on shrubland ecosystem responses to climate change drivers. A list of research topics particularly encouraged by the consortium is avaliable.
INCREASE provides the facilities, core measurements, technical support, and travel funds for researchers who want to visit and conduct research on one or several of the facilities. Visitors and projects will be selected based on quality and novelty as well as the degree to which they complement and add to the ongoing research at the sites.
Next call
A third Call will be launched July 2010, for research activities starting during autumn 2010 and/or during the following year 2011.
